Students working together to help save the planet!
- Inspired by the work of renowned environmentalist Jane Goodall, Roots & Shoots brings together students in grades 3 through 6 who are interested in environmental issues and working to save the planet. With guidance from Lane Multiage teacher Nicole Groeneweg, these students meet before school twice a month to study current issues ranging from endangered animals to water pollution to infrastructure in developing countries around the world. They help maintain the school garden and promote environmental awareness throughout the school community.
